Technical Lead

Are you looking for an opportunity to join an evolving complex equipment manufacturer that will trust you to lead a team, and be accountable for the technical performance of the products? You will be a central part of the business, giving you excellent career prospects and the opportunity to develop. Leading their test engineers, you will know what good looks like, and develop and implement test processes so everything becomes slicker and more robust. 

With customers all over the world involved in materials development and semiconductor research, there will be opportunity to travel internationally, leading from the front and supporting customers with applications support and system testing.

You'll be used to being in small growing business, able to prioritise and pivot accordingly. It's fast paced and if you enjoy that, it'll be highly rewarding. 

The role: Technical Lead

Everything they manufacture is low volume and high value; everything is built as one-offs. You will be responsible for many different things, including maintaining and developing the company’s technical knowledge and strengthening R&D and application capabilities. You will also be responsible for the following:

  • Team leadership and development
  • Customer and stakeholder engagement 
  • Driving change for continuous improvements
  • Product development, testing and technical support

The Candidate: Technical Lead

The successful candidate will be positive and confident in their ability, self-motivated with excellent leadership skills. You will also have most of the following skills and experience:

  • Degree qualified in Physics, Material Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • 5 years in a relevant industry with previous management experience.
  • A hands-on collaborative approach with a can-do attitude; lead by example
  • Experience in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues
  • Full driving license and valid passport are essential
